Come make a fun-shaped pincushion named in French because it means "odd," "quirky", and "irregular," so totally out of the ordinary! This pincushion is named "biscornu" because of its shape, which is made of two squares of fabric stitched together creating an eight-point symmetrical shape. Its name perfectly fits its unique, unconventional form. In this class we will stitch together two square pieces of fabric that we will decorate prior to forming them into an eight-point symmetrical shape. We will explore three forms of stuffing our pincushions with either traditional ground walnut shells, poly fill, or leftover pieces of yarn and fabric. After assembling our biscornus, we will sew buttons parallel on each middle center on both sides and tug to make it sturdier. And then, voilà, you have…
