Handbuilding-Learning the Techniques

Ages 16 and up, minimum 4/max 10

This class will provide students with ways to create work in clay using techniques like pinch pots, coil, and slab. Students will be given a creative project to build with each technique. If time allows, we may have a final project using more than one handbuilding technique!

In this handbuilding class, we will explore the different ways to create works of art with pinch pots, coil, and slab methods. Beth will show you how to use each method and then assign a creative project for you to complete by the end of the 5-week class period. Depending on time, we may use the entire 5 weeks for wet work and then follow-up with a glazing session.

Supplies are included (we will use the reclaimed clay for most of the projects)
