Painting With Wool

Using vibrantly colored wisps of wool roving, students will needle and wet felt an unique wool picture.  Learn the basics of creating handmade felt! Starting with a base of lightly felted wool prefelt, students will use vibrantly dyed wool fibers to needle felt a basic landscape or floral picture. Once the elements have been attached, we will wet felt our “paintings” to shrink the wool and solidify it into an actual piece of handmade felt — suitable for framing! No experience or talent is needed. The finished piece will be approximately 8x10”.
